MEGAN + ADAM - Berry College Wedding

I have lived in Rome for a little over a year now, and Megan + Adam's wedding is the first that I've actually shot IN Rome. Crazy eh?! I'm so glad they found me! I loved shooting at Berry College. It's a beautiful campus, and it's only a 10-minute drive from my house. : )

These two are WONDERFUL. One awesome thing about them is that they both share my unabashed love for the Avett Brothers. : ) Also, the wedding party wasn't afraid to have fun. Enter: superhero shirts and a Bridesmaids movie pose. You'll see what I'm talking about. ; )

Megan & Adam got married at the College Chapel, and the reception was held at Ford Dining Hall. Thank you SO much, y'all, for inviting me to share in your day. It was oh-so-memorable!

Searching Instagram for available unique hashtags - love it!

Gorgeous, Megan!

Yes... just...YES.

The ladies need an animation too. It was a HOT day, so they found a genius way to cool off. ; )

Deer! So close!

Loved their programs. Never seen it before!

These ladies were walking up to the ceremony, and I loved their reaction when they saw me taking their photo. So adorable.

VERY LARGE boutonnieres! ; )

ANNA + BEN - Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden Wedding

First things first: the weather was NOT kind to me in May -- I guess my pups didn't do the no-rain dance enough for me like they promised me they would. ; ) Now, more importantly, check out this gorgeous couple!

Anna + Ben got married in mid-May in North Carolina. The ceremony was held at First Presbyterian Church in Gastonia, and the reception was held at the beautiful Daniel Stowe Botanical Garden (where I got married!). I'm lucky to have visited and shot at DSBG twice already this year -- it's such an inspiring place to me. Like I mentioned with the weather, we kept having to dodge the rain and wet ground... but thankfully, we were still able to do most portraits outside!

I loved all of the classic details at this wedding. Anna's Vera Wang dress was stunning on her. And the couple's chemistry was just awesome. I especially loved capturing their first dance together; it was so touching the way they looked at each other.

Anna and Ben are the sweetest. And they threw such a slammin' good time party! Thanks to everyone who made this wedding a wonderful one to shoot! I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Enjoy the pretty. : )

***UPDATE: Totally slipped my mind to thank the wonderful Beth Ely for hanging with the guys before the ceremony and helping me shoot this wedding!***

Funny side note: Anna couldn't decide between wearing her Badgley Mischka or Vincent Camuto heels... so I photographed both because, well, just look at how awesome both pairs are! (FYI she ended up going with Vincent for comfort.)

Such a pretty group of women!

Anna has THE BEST laughing face. Ever.

Love love love.

KIMBERLY + GRIFFIN ENGAGED!

Kimberly & Griffin... ohhh what a treat to photograph! When I think of their engagement session, I think of getting terribly lost in the woods (which turned out to be a happy accident and led us to an awesome spot to shoot!), giggles & cuddles and adventure. Kimberly has the BEST laughing expression, and Griffin was the one who constantly put it there. I LOVED spending the afternoon with these two. They absolutely trusted me to make truly organic photos of their sweet relationship in one of their favorite places to spend time together: nature. Can't even wait for their wedding this fall! : )

LOVE the following set by the water...

I thought this frame was hilarious...

AMANDA + WES - WinMock at Kinderton Wedding

My first wedding of 2013. Where in the world did the beginning of the year go?! Everyone, meet Amanda & Wes. These two were a joy to photograph together. So many smiles all day long. : )

Amanda & Wes's gorgeous winter wedding was held at the beautiful WinMock at Kinderton in Bermuda Run, North Carolina. I thought it was so neat that they had the ceremony set up in a circle. Family and friends were positioned all around them and it felt much more intimate, especially because the guests held lighted candles. I also loved that they included their adorable pup, Brooks, in the photos and the ceremony. And oh my goodness... the band. Rubberband was awesome! I don't think ANYBODY wanted to leave this rockin' reception! Congrats, you two. Many happy years together! : )

Thanks to Jenny Tenney for helping me shoot and for great company!

I loved that their dog stayed at Amanda's feet while she was getting ready. So sweet.

Amanda's hair was so glamorous!

Stunning. : )

So cute: on his shoes were "She's" and "Mine."

Eeeee! LOVE THESE!

First look - so sweet!

Love.

LOVED the gold vases!

Wes & Amanda's close friends got up during the ceremony to read something personal they each had written. This was so touching!

In lieu of the traditional wedding party shot, they opted for a fun photo op with close friends. LOVE!

The couple got engaged in Napa.

Such a stunning barn. Right?

I had some stiff competition during the cake cutting, but it's okay, because they fed each other multiple times. ; )

Wes's Dad = awesome.

Amanda's dad = amazing.

This couple was so adorable. Sneaking kisses in the corner...

I don't think I've ever seen FOUR people catch the bouquet!

Wes's brother and girlfriend = SWEET dance moves!

I LOVE this photo.

THE IRVINE FAMILY

This family? My favorite. I've known the Irvines for 15+ years, and I've always appreciated their company, their love and their sincerity throughout my life. Mr. & Mrs. I have always been so welcoming and gracious -- inviting me into their home time after time. I can't say enough good things about all three Irvine sisters -- I call them all good friends. Rachel, the oldest, is a talented designer/creative genius, who also happened to coordinate my wedding (no small feat) and re-brand my business. Mary, the next oldest, was the maid of honor at my wedding and she's like the sister I never had. She's selfless and giving, illustrating that through her work as an advocate for children's rights through the law and constantly fundraising for a worthy cause. Christine, the youngest, has just about every skill on the planet. Not only does she rock at photography (and other creative things!), she is also a certified yoga instructor and endlessly fights for climate change and equality for all.

Pretty incredible family, right? And their significant others are just as awesome. Irvines, you caught some good ones! : ) Enjoy my time with this sweet family.

Love Mary & Nick's pup, JOEY!

ADORE this one...
