RACHAEL + JARAN - Primrose Cottage Wedding

On May 4, 2013, it poured buckets in Georgia. All. day. long. I think the rainfall even set a record. (If it didn't, I'd be surprised.) But you know what else happened? Rachael + Jaran got married and this... this made it a beautiful day. : )

Rachael & Jaran actually planned to be married last fall, but then Rachael's father passed away tragically, so they postponed the wedding. When Rachael told me the news over the phone, I still remember where I was and what I was doing. My heart instantly broke for her, as I'm sure hers is still healing and will continue to.

Rachael & Jaran's wedding was really special. The emotion, the details, the LOVE. They got married at Johnson Ferry Baptist Church in Marietta, and the reception was held at Primrose Cottage in Roswell. Even though the rain made things less than ideal, it was a gorgeous day and I'm so happy to have been the one to photograph their wedding.

Rachael's friend was hilarious when she went to fix the crinoline in her dress...

Proud, proud mama!

Never a dull moment with Rachael's sisters...!Such a sweet first look.

Favorite.

Rachael's brother walked her down the aisle, and I love the thumbs up from the grandfather at the end...!

I normally don't post family portraits on the blog, but the flower girls are TOO CUTE in this!

More favorites...!Loved this assortment of flowers! How neat is this puzzle of Georgia?!

LOVED the ombre cake. So pretty.

A good friend of the family stepped in for the traditional father-daughter dance...

...and everyone was in tears.

My friends with kids tell me: "You sleep when they do!" Too adorable.

I love this image because I lucked out and got the shortest person (who is able to walk) and the tallest person at the reception in the same shot!

Rachael's grandfather LOVED him some YMCA:
