BETH + MARK - Charlotte Country Club Wedding

This is a special post. Why? Because Beth is family. She is my first cousin and we grew up together. Seeing Beth happy and in love fills my heart so full of warm fuzzies. : ) Mark, thank you for making her so happy and welcome to the family (officially)!

Beth & Mark got married in mid-November at Beth's home church - First Presbyterian - in Gastonia, North Carolina and the reception was held at the gorgeous Charlotte Country Club.

Now, let me take a second to talk about Daylight Saving Time. When it ends, something inside me dies a little...as I'm sure most photographers would say the same. Light is so inspirational and tends to dictate how I shoot a wedding day (technically-speaking). That being said, I was overcome with so much emotion on this day that I hardly ever thought twice about the lack of daylight. The whole day was filled to the brim with anticipation, love and FUN! I am so grateful to Beth & Mark for asking me to shoot their wedding and wish them a lifetime of laughter & love (and Tar Heel & Steelers wins, of course). : )

A HUGE thanks to Rachel Browne Photography for second shooting this one with me. She was recovering from food poisoning from the night before and still did an amazing job. Thanks, girl!

And what would family be without a little embarrassment? I found this gem on the wall at my aunt & uncle's house where the girls were getting ready. Had to post. SO ADORABLE!LOVED these colors together.

This is when everyone in the room lost it (including me). This is our 96-year-old grandmother. Nana is the sweetest woman and was so proud to see Beth before she walked down the aisle.

How AMAZING is this shot?! I don't think I can get my leg that high up anymore!

Beth gave these beautiful necklaces to her bridesmaids as gifts.

I have to explain this next shot. Sometimes I'm not the best at vocalizing what I'm seeing in my head, and after I explained what I wanted the girls to do in this shot, half of them did this awkward Statue of Liberty pose. It was so hilarious that we actually had to get a shot of everyone doing it.

Beth is so pretty!!LOVE this one with Beth's dad.

How beautiful were the cake/cupcakes and how ADORABLE are these cake toppers?!

Black and Blue rocked the party!

My nephew and sis-in-law. : )

And then...THEN Beth and her bridesmaids took control of the mics for a song (or maybe two). It was awesome.

And the guys weren't left stranded for their moment to shine. ; )

Another explanation: Beth does push-ups at every wedding reception. So why should she exclude her own? AMAZING!
