EM + O'HARA - Hobart, Tasmania Australia Wedding

"Love is composed of a single soul inhabiting two bodies." -- Aristotle

The above quote was printed on Em + O'Hara's wedding program, and I think it's so fitting of these two. I met this amazing couple when I studied abroad in Australia during college. What I remember about them from study abroad is that they were always SO friendly, SO helpful and just such a treat to be around!

As a nod to O'Hara's Irish heritage, the couple married on St. Patrick's Day in Em's hometown of Hobart, Tasmania. The ceremony was held at Cascade Brewery (a favorite local brew -- the scenery was breathtaking!), and the party afterwards went off without hitch at MONA (the Museum of Old and New Art).

I had such an incredible time on this wedding day, and I couldn't be more humbled that Em & O'Hara asked me to come back to Oz to document their big day. When Em asked me over a year ago, I literally teared up and then proceeded to squeal with excitement. : ) Australia holds a very special place in my heart. Study abroad was a time of tremendous growth for me -- discovering who I was and who & what I wanted to be -- and being able to go back and visit was so touching. Australia (especially Hobart, now that I've visited!) should be on everyone's bucket list.

Grab your beverage of choice and enjoy some of my favorites from Em & O'Hara's wedding! A VERY heartfelt, gracious thank you to the happy couple for flying me such a long way for such a special occasion. To say that I'm honored doesn't begin to describe how I feel -- it honestly cannot be put into words!

Proud Dad!

Seriously so gorgeous!

Um yeah, how adorable were the flower girls?!

Yay married!!

Emotional brother. So sweet.

Love this series of Em and her siblings.

Shout out to the peeps of Baxter College (the place where I stayed during study abroad). : )

Tragically, a dear friend of Em & O'Hara passed away a couple of weeks before their wedding. I thought it was so touching that their friends brought a photo to the wedding.

Love this one.

They both brought their model faces to the wedding - love it!

So cute. : )

Isn't Hobart breathtaking?!

These guys were so hilarious and fun.

St. Patty's Day yeahhh!

All the guests hopped on a ferry to the reception at MONA.

Another favorite. SO HAPPY!

Told you they were hilarious... : )

Em + O'Hara's first dance was choreographed to one of my favorite songs - Come Away With Me - by Norah Jones. It was impressive!

Mad Libs - another favorite detail - so fun!

They had nontraditional food planned. Instead of a buffet or plated dinner, they had TONS of little bite-sized treats that came out periodically throughout the night, which allowed the guests to keep mingling and dancing. Genius idea!

I wanted to take this little girl home with me. SHE HAS THE BEST SMILE!

Some really touching and FUNNY toasts were given...

Em & O'Hara had a Polaroid photo booth, where guests were invited to have their picture taken (by my hubs!) and then attach the photo to this beautiful tree along with their Mad Libs card.

Of course we got a photo - LOVE Polaroids. (ENTER MY GIVEAWAY!)

Rawr! Get it O'Hara!

Off to the side, I digitally captured some of my favorite moments from the photo booth.

Congrats, y'all! It was an absolute blast. We can't wait to visit you in Canada! : )
