KATHRYN + DAN - Fearrington Barn Wedding

Where do I begin? This wedding was FABULOUS. The people, the setting, the florals, the decor, the style, the party... EVERYTHING was gorgeous. And the couple...ohhhh, the couple. Say hello to the lovebirds:

Aren't they stunning? Kathryn & Dan were married in mid-October at St. Thomas More in Chapel Hill, NC and the reception was held at The Barn in Fearrington Village in Pittsboro. Talk about a gorgeous venue! And the weather was PERFECT for their special day.

Bride's dress: Amy Kuschel Bridesmaids dresses: Jenny Yoo Groom and groomsmen attire: Calvin Klein Bride's hair and makeup: Makeupforyourday Florals: Mary Stevens of Fearrington Cake: Jill Leckey of Fearrington Reception music: Phase Band Caterer: Fearrington Village Invitations/programs: Crane, purchased at Charlotte's Coordinator: Meredith McSwain

Kathryn and Dan are a JOY to be around. Dan is probably the most polite man I know (aside from my husband and Dad!), and Kathryn is THE most hilarious person I know. Hands down. I think I laughed about 90% of their wedding day. Needless to say, I had the best time hanging out with their families and friends, and I wish them all the best. On to the photos!

Proud dad. : )

LOVED all the flowers.

Beautiful, Kathryn.

Proud MOH. ; )

We did a few quick "just married" photos in the church.

We did the majority of the photos at Fearrington. I am always so happy to have ample amount of time to do photos - thanks for cooperating, everyone! : )

Prepare yourselves for LOTS of couples' photos. It was just too hard to narrow them down...

One of my favorites!

And another absolute favorite. : )After the cocktail hour everyone moved inside the barn, which was decked out in gorgeousness.

Haha, couldn't resist. : )

A large part of the crowd was Irish, so yes... Riverdance moves did break out at one point during the party. Kathryn's mom can move!

Congrats y'all! I switched things up a bit with my editing style. I'm diggin' it and hope everyone else is too!

KATHRYN + DAN ENGAGED!

I'm going to describe this e-shoot in one word: fate. Let me explain. I was up in DC last week for some work unrelated to weddings/portraiture, and somehow Kathryn & Dan knew I was going to be there. : ) I'm shooting their wedding this fall in gorgeous Chapel Hill, and they were originally undecided about engagement photos. Lo and behold, they changed their mind and contacted me three days before I was scheduled to be in DC for some documentary work. BAM! We made the e-shoot happen, and I'm so glad we did. Perfect timing, perfect weather. It was beautiful. I had a blast with them wandering around the monuments (also because Kathryn kept me laughing the whole time!). Y'all are one good-lookin' pair, and I can't wait for your company again in the fall! : )
