ANNE-LAURE + DALLAS - France Wedding

Dallas and Anne-Laure were married on the weekend after Bastille Day (French National Day) in Noirmoutier, France. Say helloooo to this gorgeous couple:

Like I said in my e-shoot post, these two are so special to me. I wish they didn't live in Denmark! Hopefully one day, when we're all not expecting it... they'll move back to the U.S. : ) I was incredibly lucky to get to document their big day, and I'll always treasure this experience of a lifetime. You guys (and your families, of course!) are THE BEST. Congrats a thousand times over, you two!

The dutiful matron of honor wrangling the men... : )

You are stunning, AL!

This is the MOST funny "Blue Steel" photo that I'll ever take. Hands DOWN.

Dallas giving a nod to where he grew up (the U.S.) and where he got married (France). Love!

The moment below is right after the priest blessed the rings and Anne-Laure accidentally dropped Dallas's. Love the priest's face...

This shot is for Dallas's mother - FIST PUMP!

Love this of Anne-Laure looking at Dallas's dad.

One of the bridesmaids was joking about being in Anne-Laure & Dallas's "married" session. Most awkward and HILARIOUS photo ever!

Waving to the many tourists that flocked to the island that weekend...

There was so much food! Lots of little tastings instead of big servings... great idea!

Mother of the groom getting teared up. Priceless.

They went into their first dance swaying slowly...

...and then kicked it up a notch!

In France, the tradition is to cut and share brioche, or sweet bread, instead of a wedding cake. It was delicious!

And of course I'm ending with a macaron ring shot - it's a traditional French confectionery. They were absurdly tasty. : )

KEY WEST

Last October for my birthday, Ryan took me on a surprise trip to Key West, Florida. And I mean it was a COMPLETE surprise. I didn't know we were going on a trip until the day before, and I didn't know where we were going until we got to the gate. All I had to do was pack a bag... and my camera, of course. : ) Here are some highlights from our sunny weekend getaway. Can we go back? Like... now?!

We found an AMAZING vegetarian place called The Cafe, and we ate there both days. SO good.

And this is where my love affair for Woodchuck Pear Cider started... yum.

... the staff was awesome too. : )

I found this painted on the side of a wall...

We found this dude it town with a BEAUTIFUL parrot. Naturally, I was afraid of the bird but got close enough to get some snaps...

... and Ryan made friends with him.

Night #1 sunset from the harbor. It was more unbelievable in person.

Ryan has THE longest eyelashes in the world.

Trip to the butterfly sanctuary!

We stopped by Ernest Hemingway's place...

And here's the lighthouse we tried to visit, but it closed down five minutes before we arrived. Dang.

Night #2 sunset; we watched from atop a hotel in town.

Thank you, Ryan, for such a wonderful trip! : )
