KARA + JON - Mint Museum Uptown Wedding

How is it NOT going to be a SUPER fun day when you walk into where a bride is getting ready and see these?!

Kara & Jon were married in late September on a perfectly sunny day in North Carolina. The ceremony was held at First Presbyterian Church in Gastonia, and the Mint Museum Uptown in Charlotte was beautifully decorated for the reception. I loved spending time with Kara and Jon during their Dewees Island engagement session, and their wedding day was even better! SO many fun guests and everyone was so welcoming. And, along with the balloons, I LOVED the pop of the bright yellow flowers (reminds me of the sun that day!).

Proud mama.

A first look on the couple's cute front porch!

BALLOONS!

THIS is what I see in my side mirror on the way to do portraits. : )

One of my absolute faves!

Another fave. : )

Their cake was so awesome!

LAUREN + SAM ENGAGED!

I met up with Lauren and Sam for a gorgeous early morning shoot at the farmhouse where they will be married this October. I'm not available on their wedding date this year, but I'm honored they still wanted me to do their engagement photos. We had fun on the beautiful property before it got too blistering hot outside. : ) Congratulations you two and best wishes!

I couldn't resist a couple shots of the adorable pups:

AMY + JAMES - Union Presbyterian Wedding

Last week I posted James + Amy's animation showing JUST how giddy they were to be married. Amy and James had been looking forward to their wedding day for a long time, and when it finally arrived, the excitement they felt was definitely palpable. This couple is so adorable and looks so effortless in their photos; their love is sure to last a lifetime. Congratulations you two!

Amy and James were married in mid-June on a gorgeous day at Union Presbyterian Church in Gastonia, North Carolina. Here are some vendors that helped make their day special:

I couldn't pick a favorite between the next two and you'll see why (James was an emotional wreck -- it was so touching):

Amy's dad had a few tears in him too...

I had to post another animation because something hilarious happened during the ceremony: James kissed Amy (on the cheek!) before they were officially pronounced husband + wife!

We had some time before coverage ended, so we popped over to Amy's grandparent's property for another quick couple's session. I'm so glad we did - love this set!
