Kelly and Reed were married on a pretty temperate (for mid-August!) day in Washington, DC at Dahlgren Chapel on Georgetown University's campus (where they first met). It was my first time photographing on campus, and I'm hooked. There are SO many beautiful buildings and gorgeous landscaping for photo ops! Their reception was held not too far away at The Fairmont Washington D.C. It was classy and sophisticated -- a perfect reflection of the couple. I loved the tablescapes, especially, because Reed's sister drew landmarks special to their relationship as place settings. It was so unique!

I have a funny story that I have to share about how I met Kelly (and Reed) and ended up becoming their wedding photographer. Kelly contacted me about a year ago, simply asking me where one of my brides found her wedding dress. I responded and gave her the information but then also added that I would be moving to the D.C. area for my husband's job and asked if she'd found her photographer yet. They hadn't, so we set up a Skype chat, and the rest is history. I love the Internet. : )
