KERRI + MATT - Jupiter, Florida Wedding - Part II of II

Kerri & Matt... just LOOK at how gorgeous they are! LOVE this photo of them as husband and wife. : )

Kerri & Matt got married at a beautiful church in Hobe Sound - St. Christopher Catholic Church. The priest who married Kerri's parents also married Kerri & Matt. How special is that? On the way back from the church, we detoured to stop at the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse for some quick portraits. The reception was held at The Loxahatchee Club, which provided a beautiful backdrop for the (amazing!) party.

The day was full of emotion and charm. My favorite parts were probably seeing Matt tear up while Kerri walked down the aisle with her dad, as well as watching Kerri and Matt during their vows. And I captured more than a few laughing fits between Matt and his mom (they both have awesome smiles!), which tug at my heartstrings. I also loved the unique elements that were incorporated into Kerri's attire: her purse was made from her mom and grandmother's wedding dresses, and Kerri wore a gardenia, her late grandmother's favorite flower, in her hair during the reception to honor her.

Both families were just so friendly and FUN. I enjoyed every minute of this day! Please enjoy my favorites. : ) (And if you missed part I, you can find it HERE.)

How cute are the out-of-town baskets? A mini palm tree!!

So handsome! Loved the white tux coats.

Kerri's mom and dad... so proud.

GORGEOUS!

These kids are SO precious.

LOVE this one.

MARRIED!

GOOMBAY SMASH! The couple first met in the Bahamas, so they had signature drinks from their favorite island at the reception.

The toasts had everyone laughing!

Kerri was less than thrilled about taking cake to the face, but she was good natured about it. ; )

Love me some twins!

I'm not sure where this tradition started, but I like it.

Shout out to a past MTP bride & groom - hey heyyyyy! Looking good!

JANELLE + TIM - Charlotte City Club Wedding - Part I of II

If I post ALL of my favorites from this wedding, my blog server/host might just explode. I've narrowed them down as best as I can, and I still think it's necessary to split Janelle + Tim's wedding day into two parts. : ) Weather-wise, the day started out iffy. But don't they say a little rain on your wedding day equals a lot of luck?

I've got a unique anecdote for this wedding that I must share. The bride's mother, Sandy, told me this story on Janelle & Tim's wedding day morning. When Sandy and her husband were visiting Janelle in 2010 in Charlotte (they live in Ohio), she actually saw me shooting a wedding uptown (this one to be exact). Two years later, when Janelle got engaged and interested in my work, she sent her mom my website, and Sandy totally recognized me from two years prior. Now if that isn't a sign that we were meant to meet -- what is?!

From our very first consult, I really clicked with Janelle and Tim. They were so kind and caring, and just SO excited to be marrying each other. As time ticked by, Janelle would periodically update me on her wedding details, but even more importantly, I really got to know her and see how generous and lovely she is. (And super talented as well -- she started a blog called simply love., full of home/cooking/wedding inspirations -- go follow her ideas!)

Janelle and Tim got married at St. Peter's Catholic Church, and the reception was held at the ever-fabulous Charlotte City Club. All the details were STUNNING. Seriously, my jaw kept dropping to the floor the entire day. From the florals to the table settings to the custom-made CD favors, I was mesmerized by the beauty of it all. I heard everyone saying (about the details): "It's just so JANELLE." And I think what everyone meant, on top of everything being ultra stylish/vintage/chic, was that you could tell everything was created with 100% love and gratitude.

Without gushing too much more, here is part I of Janelle & Tim's wedding day. Thanks to Rachel Browne for shooting 14.5 hours (!!!!) with me. : )

How cute is the flower girl?! And how awesome are those robes?! Janelle gave them to her bridesmaids as part of their gifts...

Tim got a close shave at a salon in uptown. Too neat!

HOW AMAZING are the bouquets?!

Dad sees daughter for the first time... so sweet...

I love this shot of everyone crammed into the narthex right before the ceremony started...!

Stay tuned for part II -- portraits and reception -- tomorrow!

KYLIE + MATT - Lake Lanier Islands Resort Wedding

You may remember Kylie & Matt from their engagement shoot last fall -- it was one of my favorites to date. Their wedding day ranks highly as well. : ) They are SUCH sweet people individually and even SWEETER together.

Kylie and Matt got married on a perfect June day at Lake Lanier Islands Resort. Everything unfolded flawlessly, and the blue skies helped make everything pretty magical. I really enjoyed the outside ceremony by the lake and Kylie & Matt's personal vows to each other. They also had an incredible band at their reception -- a personal favorite was their rendition of "Walking on Sunshine" -- I was totally rocking out during that song (while snapping photos, of course). : )

Enjoy this special couple's wedding day. And thanks to Cristina Guerrero, who came along and captured bits of video (loved having you!). : )

Kylie's something old & blue on the right -- her great-grandmother's handkerchief that her mom gave her.

Shout out to a past MTP groom (second from the left): Heyyyy Robby!

LOVE the bow ties!

Beautiful Kylie. : )

I love how Kylie's dad was taking photos throughout the day; you could tell he is so proud of her.

Love this shot of Kylie and her sister.I love the freedom of shooting outside ceremonies! Such great moments like these below can be captured with no photographer restrictions. : )

Beautiful tables at the reception!

I got about five different photos of Kylie's parents like this -- LOVE their enthusiasm!!!

The Moxie Band was AMAZING. And I get to see them at another wedding coming up this fall -- totally psyched to jam again!

KIMBERLY + GRIFFIN ENGAGED!

Kimberly & Griffin... ohhh what a treat to photograph! When I think of their engagement session, I think of getting terribly lost in the woods (which turned out to be a happy accident and led us to an awesome spot to shoot!), giggles & cuddles and adventure. Kimberly has the BEST laughing expression, and Griffin was the one who constantly put it there. I LOVED spending the afternoon with these two. They absolutely trusted me to make truly organic photos of their sweet relationship in one of their favorite places to spend time together: nature. Can't even wait for their wedding this fall! : )

LOVE the following set by the water...

I thought this frame was hilarious...

EMMA KATE: NEWBORN

Ohhhh, how I LOVE photographing newborns. Are you ready for your heart to just melt right out of your chest? Meet Emma Kate. You may remember her lovely parent's maternity session that I shot in Charleston not too long ago. I photographed Blair + Anna on February 9th and this little one decided to make her appearance on February 27th! You see, Emma Kate's due date is three days from today (April 18th). That's right -- you read that correctly -- she's still negative three days old. : )  Anna started showing signs of preeclampsia, so the doctor quickly recommended a c-section birth.

Emma Kate was born weighing a whopping 3 lbs, 14 oz. Such a TINY thing! She stayed in the NICU for 20 days before getting released to go home. As parents, I can't imagine how hard it must be to not bring your baby home right away.

Normally, I photograph newborns around 7-12 days old, but sweet little Emma Kate was so small (and not even allowed to be at home) that we waited until a more calm time. So now, here she is at 35 days old. Y'all, I can't even describe in words how much I loved photographing this sweet family of three (plus their adorable pup, Clemson!). Anna & Blair, y'all know how much I love y'all. Thank you for letting me be in Emma Kate's "top 10" list. ; )

Baby yawns are. the. BEST.

These blankets were given to Emma Kate as prayer blankets.

I love this photo because it looks like Emma Kate is on the lookout for something. Haha - cracks me up!

LOVE.

Love the burrito baby. : )

A favorite!
