Even though I've uploaded overloaded my Instagram followers' feeds with photos of my daughter, Brooklyn still hasn't gotten much face time on the blog yet. With a pretty busy summer and fall season, I put off editing a LOT of personal photos until this winter. I have many moments from her life to share coming up on the blog. But first, I wanted to share a few favorites from our family session with Anna Routh Photography when Brooklyn was just three weeks old. Anna is a friend of mine and she is SUCH a lovely person. I've admired her beautiful work for awhile, and I was SO happy she could squeeze in a session for us when she was visiting DC. I encourage you to go see more of Anna's photos on her blog and her favorites from our session HERE. Thanks for a wonderful time, Anna. We'll cherish these photos forever. Happy New Year, everyone! I hope everyone has oodles of fun and is safe celebrating tonight! I am taking a few days away to relax with the familia. : ) I will be back at my computer the week of January 5th, and during that week, I plan to blog my last wedding of 2014 and post my 2014 business recap! See y'all in the new year.
I was so thrilled she grabbed some photos of our furry children!
Brooklyn's nursery is so special because it is filled with handmade things from friends.
My good friend Mary painted the canvas on the right, and I knitted the blanket on the glider.
I sewed the heart mobile during my third trimester, and I embroidered the alphabet even before we found out we were pregnant with Brooklyn. : )
The blue bowl was spun by Ryan's dad, the "You Are So Loved" piece was illustrated/painted by my good friend Becca and the embroidery was done by my good friend Danielle's mama. <3.
I included this photo of Bella because it was "her spot" during the first few months of Brooklyn's life. I had a bit of a hard time with breastfeeding and spent countless hours in the glider feeding Brooklyn, and Bella was always by my side.
We printed the below photo as a canvas. That hoodie...too much!!!
We actually requested Anna take these photos. We thought Brooklyn looked so funny when we burped her like this (how the pediatrician actually recommended we do it). That face!!!
