Hi friends! I've decided to run a sale on canvases. Instead of only showing off your photos digitally, I feel that more people should have portraits hanging on their walls --  so here's a little encouragement to do so. Here are the details: A 16x20" ready-to-hang canvas gallery wrap is 20% off for THREE DAYS ONLY (9/24 through 9/26). And if you order two canvases, I'll give you 30% off! Math wasn't my best subject in grade school, but I'll give it a whirl for you to make it clear. : )

Regularly-priced canvas: $225 --> 20% off: $180 (that's $45 off!) TWO regularly-priced canvases: $500 --> 30% off: $350 (that's $150 off!)

Each canvas is hand stretched on a custom-built frame, printed with ink rated to last 100 years and spray sealed with a UV inhibitor coat. Your order is shipped directly to you - shipping cost included! All you need to do is email me ( with the following details by 5 p.m. EST on Wednesday, Sept. 26th:

1. Let me know which photo(s) you'd like used. 2. Indicate what size depth you'd like (1.5" thickness or 0.75" thickness -- see examples below). 3. Mail payment and get excited! : )

A canvas would make a great gift for a loved one (birthday, holiday, anniversary)! Take a look at the canvases I've purchased recently for our home (bottom left photo of us by The Schultzes on our wedding day). Note: The photo of us is the more traditional 1.5" depth, and the bridal party photo is the 0.75" depth.

ALBUMS: Cypress Fine Handmade Albums

It's an early birthday over here for Melissa Tuck Photography -- the new album sample has arrived! I am so ecstatic to finally share with you my newest offering from Cypress Albums. Before I get to the goods, a little thoughts from me: I think getting a wedding album is SO important. I know digital negatives are all the rage these days (and yes, they're important too!), but by purchasing an album, you have a way of displaying your wedding photos. I can honestly say that I haven't looked at our DVD of photos more than once since our wedding (and that doesn't take away what a fabulous job The Schultzes did!), but my point is this: We purchased two canvas prints from our wedding, which are currently hanging on our living room wall, and we look at those EVERY SINGLE DAY and are reminded of how wonderful our day was. An album is yet another elegant way to show off the magic of your special day. Off my soapbox and onto these GORGEOUS albums! : )

I chose a neutral platinum for the album cover and a gray presentation box with ivory ribbon. I also added a cover photo.

Gold imprinting (silver and clear also available):

Library bound style binding.

An elegant European-style presentation box is available to protect and display your album.

The photo prints are permanently matted onto the page. I use high quality Kodak Professional Lustre paper with a lustre coating, which is an environmentally safe, water based coating that provides additional protection to your prints and adds a slightly more matte appearance for a fine art look.

The 10x10" album is custom-designed and layout-oriented. The photo prints are flush-mounted to heavy-weight six-ply (non-bendable) pages. Each album can hold up to 25 pages (50 sides).

The gorgeous fabrics are Japanese bookbinding fabric and silk ribbon. There are multiple colors from which to choose.

Past couples, if you're interested in purchasing one of these beauties, shoot me a note: mel [at] melissatuckphoto [dot] com. Future couples, you can also get it on the fun. I'm offering a 10% discount on Cypress Albums at the time of signing a contract. : )

Now that wedding season has calmed down a bit, I made it a priority this week to get examples of all my current product offerings on the blog, and I've just about done it! I recently posted about my albums, so now it's on to photo books! First up is the 7x7" hard-cover book. It is available in a white or black cover with 25 of your favorite images inside. You can also choose the cover photo. I think it works great as a display on your coffee table, but it's also lightweight enough to carry with you. The photos are printed one per page on silk-finished, matte pages.

And I also have 4x4" little KISS books, which come in a variety of colors (not shown: brown & pink). The books come in sets of two (identical photos/cover) with 20 photos each. For the cover, you have the option of leather or linen (I prefer the leather as it's a bit more flexible), and the pages are non-bendable, hard-backed. I love these as gifts because they're affordable and pocket-sized... GREAT for carrying around in bags/purses to show a snapshot of the wedding! And they come with such a cute fabric cover! I'm in love.

Past couples - shoot me an email if you'd like to order any of these. Future couples - get excited! Happy weekending. : )

ALBUMS: Sequoia by WillowBook

I started out doing one project tonight and due to technical complications (thanks friends for your help!), I ended up shifting gears and finishing another... I recently shipped some beautiful albums to couples, but first, I snapped some frames to show them off. ; ) While I am working on adding new products to my line (updated list available: spring 2011!), I am still going to be offering these classic, durable 10x10" leather albums. As you can see, they are flush mount, layout-oriented albums with thick, non-bendable pages that lay flat at a virtually seamless center. The printing is super high quality and will last a lifetime. You pick your favorite photos, and then I lay them out for you! Simple as that.

First up is Caroline + Cameron's navy blue album with embossed silver imprinting:

You can add a cover image (for an additional cost):

Book-style binding:

The narrow binding seam allows for beautiful cross-page layouts:

And here are a few of Emily + Joey's ivory album with embossed gold imprinting:
