Frankie Family - Raleigh, NC Family PHotographer

This mama found me through a close friend of mine and another past client. Word-of-mouth truly means everything to my business, and it’s a huge reason it continues to grow and flourish. When families share their experience and trust me enough to recommend my work, it never goes unnoticed. I joked with these mamas that I've infiltrated their preschool friend group, ha! ;) But in all seriousness, referrals are the spice of my business! When you comment, share, tell people about me, it means THE MOST.

Dix Park is one of my favorite Raleigh locations for sessions. Somehow, I've only recently discovered it for fall family sessions. I think I've always shied away from it during the summer (the most popular time!) because the sunflower fields are always SO crowded, but it's a new favorite of mine for fall!! Between the wide open fields, soft fall light, tall pine trees and the beautiful skyline of downtown Raleigh in the background, it offers the perfect mix of natural beauty with that iconic downtown backdrop.

Jen told me ahead of the session that she lovingly refers to her boys as “the three amigos.” And honestly? The name could not have been more accurate. Their bond was full of energy, laughter, and just the right amount of silliness. From playful running to sibling jokes and group hugs, the session felt more like an afternoon spent together than a formal photo shoot. MY KIND OF SESSION!!! My goal is always to keep things light, fun and relaxed. Sessions like these are a reminder that family photos aren’t about perfection. They’re about connection, personality, and preserving this exact season of life — even the chaotic parts.

If you’re considering a family photography session in Raleigh, especially at Dorothea Dix Park during the fall, I’d love to help you capture your own memories — exactly as you are, right now.
