Joan and Charles are married!

Another summer wedding for you! I got to join the talented Beth Ely (wedding + portrait photographer -- AND MY FRIEND! -- who is based in Durham, NC) to shoot this wedding at Castle McCulloch last June.

Joan and Charles's wedding was full of special touches but my favorite was that they LOVE their cats and incorporated them into many design elements (his cufflinks and tie clip, her hair clip, the cocktail napkins, the stationary, the cake toppers). As a fun twist, instead of the bride tossing a bouquet, the couple threw soft & squishy "wedding cats" at the reception! The people who caught the squishmallows received a monetary donation in their name to the charity of their choice. Brilliant!!
