I really enjoyed shooting this wedding in the nation's capital. Sara + Chris were married in early August at Western Presbyterian Church in Washington, DC and the reception was held at Oxon Hill Manor. I have known Sara since freshman year in college (we lived across the hall from each other in the dorm!), and I was so, so happy when she asked me to shoot her wedding. I think she's the sweetest, most kind person ever. And she's really met her match in Chris. I am so happy they found each other!
I can remember so many lovely things about this day but the ones that stand out most in my mind are: the gorgeous colors of the bridesmaids' dresses, flowers and reception centerpieces (mint green + peach + gold yessss!), the couple's first dance (too many photos to choose just one to post!), toasting with "Silver Bullets" in memory of Sara's Dad (his cocktail of choice) and Chris surprising Sara by serenading her with a Billy Joel song at the end of the reception.
