KYLIE + MATT - Lake Lanier Islands Resort Wedding

You may remember Kylie & Matt from their engagement shoot last fall -- it was one of my favorites to date. Their wedding day ranks highly as well. : ) They are SUCH sweet people individually and even SWEETER together.

Kylie and Matt got married on a perfect June day at Lake Lanier Islands Resort. Everything unfolded flawlessly, and the blue skies helped make everything pretty magical. I really enjoyed the outside ceremony by the lake and Kylie & Matt's personal vows to each other. They also had an incredible band at their reception -- a personal favorite was their rendition of "Walking on Sunshine" -- I was totally rocking out during that song (while snapping photos, of course). : )

Shout out to a past MTP groom (second from the left): Heyyyy Robby!

LOVE the bow ties!

Beautiful Kylie. : )

I love how Kylie's dad was taking photos throughout the day; you could tell he is so proud of her.

Love this shot of Kylie and her sister.I love the freedom of shooting outside ceremonies! Such great moments like these below can be captured with no photographer restrictions. : )

Beautiful tables at the reception!

I got about five different photos of Kylie's parents like this -- LOVE their enthusiasm!!!

The Moxie Band was AMAZING. And I get to see them at another wedding coming up this fall -- totally psyched to jam again!

PATTY + SCOTT - Mansion on Forsyth Park Wedding

Let me introduce you to the latest newlyweds to hit the blog... Patty + Scott! You're in for a real treat today, folks.

Scott and Patty grew up in Connecticut and currently live there, but when they started looking at wedding venues up north, they were quickly discouraged. After a trip to The Hostess City of the South, they fell in love with Savannah, Georgia and decided to have a destination wedding. I think they're Southerners at heart. ; )

Patty and Scott got married in late April at St. James Catholic Church, and the AMAZING celebration was held afterward at the Mansion on Forsyth Park. I LOVED shooting this wedding. Not only because my family was there (Patty is my sister-in-law's sister and I consider all the Mikans family!), but simply stated -- because it was an INCREDIBLE wedding. I don't think I've ever felt so much love and energy poured into one event. Here are the talented people who made the magic happen:

Bride's dress: Alfred Angelo Bride's shoes: Badgley Mischka Bridesmaids' dresses: Alfred Angelo Groom and groomsmen attire: Camillo Makeup: Rachel with Spa Bleu Hair: Joni with Spa Bleu Florals: Vicki of Kiwi Fleur Ceremony music: Helen Beddow, organist with St. James Cake top tier and cupcakes: Gigi's Cupcakes DJ: Chris Capodicci with Classic Events Entertainment, Lighting & DJ Service Caterer: Mansion on Forsyth Park Invitations: Sharon with Celebrations Trolley transportation: Oglethorpe Trolleys Rings: Rumanoff's

I'm convinced that Patty is one of the sweetest people alive, and Scott meets her match as one big teddy bear. I can't express how much of a privilege it was to hang out with them and photograph their wedding day. I'm crazy honored and humbled. You guys ROCK!

Thanks so much to Rachel Browne for helping me shoot -- always a pleasure! Enjoy this beautiful wedding and COMMENTS are always appreciated! : )

Such a cute one of Patty's parents. : )

Patty was one BEAUTIFUL bride!

I was dying over the peachy florals. LOVE!

Love this one!

Rachel did a great job with the guys prep. I love how this image illustrates tough (football on TV) and soft (Scott figuring out how to pin his delicate flower). : )

LOVE this shot Rachel grabbed of Scott waiting on the ceremony to start.

Yes! Married!

Love the next two "admire the rings" shot.

Our (Patty & my) nephew, Dylan! : )

Patty & Scott had prearranged for a trolley to drive us around Savannah for the portrait session and picked out some of their favorite spots ahead of time... River Street!

On top of The Bohemian Hotel overlooking the Savannah River and the Talmadge Memorial Bridge.

These two little girls were enamored with Patty. Love this moment.

Lastly, we hit up Forsyth Park, which actually had SCAD's sidewalk arts festival going on (so there were TONS of people there, along with the many tourists). Cleverly, we made it work. : )

Tebow in front of Forsyth Park Fountain? Yes please!

The mansion was decorated to the nines.

These cupcakes smelled SO delicious as I was photographing them. It took every bit of discipline in my bones not to eat one. ha!

Patty & Scott let us take a few more photos of them in the soft light. Having ample time for portraits always makes a photographer happy. Thanks again, you two. : )

Love this!

Best. cake. feeding. EVER!It wouldn't be a Savannah wedding without Paula Deen and shrimp & grits!

The dance floor was busy ALL NIGHT LONG! I'll let the remaining photos speak for themselves. : )

DARCY + DANIEL - N.C. Arboretum & Pack's Tavern Wedding

Darcy & Daniel -- let me tell you about these two. They are awesome peeps and so were their wedding guests! On the day they tied the knot, I was surrounded by incredibly NICE and FUN people and so much LOVE. Case in point:

You may remember Darcy & Daniel from their e-shoot. They are big UNC fans but ultimately decided to have the wedding in Darcy's hometown of Asheville, North Carolina. But as a nod to their alma mater (and the place they met), Darcy and Daniel included some UNC flair in the decor and colors. Regular followers of my blog know that I was in heaven, because I bleed Carolina blue and Asheville is one of my favorite cities! : )

Bride's dress: David's Bridal Bride's shoes: TOMS Bridesmaids' dresses: Priscilla of Boston (salons now closed) Groom and groomsmen attire: J.Crew Hair: suraj spa and salon Invitations: Savannah Nance, friend of the couple Florals: Dana Rice Blair, bride's sister Ceremony music: Danielle & Danny Bishop, bride's cousins Program chalkboard (in lieu of traditional paper programs - eco-friendly!): Eddie Rice, bride's father Cake: Cakes by Jane Cake topper: Dana Rice Blair, bride's sister Dessert table goodies: made with love by the bride & groom and friends & family DJ: James Donaldson of Sound Extreme Entertainment Caterer: The Century Room at Pack's Tavern

Daniel & Darcy were married at the GORGEOUS North Carolina Arboretum, and the celebration followed at The Centry Room at Pack's Tavern. It was threatening rain all day (and even started drizzling a couple of hours before their ceremony), but as the ceremony was set to begin, the sun peeked out! Seriously, this couple has got some amazeballs karma, and I know why -- they're so genuine and care so much for others! D-squared, I'm SO happy and humbled to have documented your wedding! Enjoy some of my favorites!

Special shout out and thanks to Tye Harris, who helped me shoot their wedding. She rocks and I've included some of her shots in this post!

Darcy and I are kindred spirits -- I shoot in the same shoes! : )

LOVED this. Darcy borrowed engagement rings from mothers and grandmothers and wore them on an ivory ribbon as a necklace, as they are examples of strong marriages before her own. How creative is she and how sweet is that?

These girls were so much fun! My angle...

... and Tye's view.

Darcy's sweet nieces were the flower girls.

Daniel requested this pose as it's an "inside" thing with his guys. I like it. : )This little dude was SO STINKIN' CUTE. Oh my goodness that bow tie!

My good friend, Meg, was one of the ceremony readers. Absolutely adored what she read -- Paul Newman's letter to his wife on their wedding day.

More cuteness!

Great exit shot by Tye...

... and the reaction of the bridesmaids as well! : )

All the guests in one photo -- love when couples want to plan for this. So neat!

Love their smiles in this!I was laughing about half of the portrait period with them... such a fun group!FIST BUMP!

Such a lovely dessert table! And the cake toppers were AMAZING (done by the bride's sister)!

Some hilarious kid shots by Tye!

This one is for the bride's father.  : )

A past bride & groom - Tracy & Clark! So happy to see them! : )
