Regretfully, I haven't had much time to submit my clients' beautiful weddings over the past six months (will get to that after my maternity leave!), but I found out today that Erica + Patrick's LOVELY D.C. wedding at The Carnegie Institute of Science was featured on Borrowed & Blue today! This blog features all things gorgeous, and I'm honored that they chose to showcase Erica & Patrick's deserving wedding! Go check out the full feature HERE. : )
ERICA + PATRICK - Carnegie Institute of Washington Wedding
Erica and Patrick love each other so sweetly. I can just feel happiness bursting out of this photo!
I jumped from coast to coast in August. After finishing up in LA, I flew to DC for a double wedding weekend that I couldn't be more excited to share! First up is Erica & Patrick. They were married at National City Christian Church and had a stunning reception at the Carnegie Institute of Washington.

The whole day was perfectly planned and beautifully designed. Everything from the touching first look to the awesome band was amazing to photograph! I thoroughly enjoyed spending the day with these two and their families and friends. Thanks a million to the newlyweds! Here are some of my faves, y'all. : )
I loved that Erica wore her late grandmother's diamond bracelet in her memory. And those Vera Wang shoes are so pretty!
I love this moment right before the first look when Erica had to take a moment and relax. She looks so excited to see her groom!
And he was just as excited to see his beautiful bride. : )
We spent some time in Meridian Hill Park for portraits before the ceremony.
Love!
I love the couple's reaction just as they're pronounced husband & wife.
Beautiful.
Gotta have a busy street shot in DC!
Isn't the cake so lovely?!
Absolutely adore this of Erica, her mom, her brother and Patrick (who is hidden in the huddle - but there!). : )
YUM.
It was really touching to hear Patrick and Erica applaud their guests for being such awesome people.
ERICA + PATRICK ENGAGED!
I had so much fun with Erica and Patrick on their engagement shoot. In fact, they were a ball! I met up with them with a few days to spare in 2011 (my last shoot of the year!) in Salisbury, North Carolina. I met Erica in college at UNC-Chapel Hill, and it was so great to see her again and meet her hubs-to-be! I'm excited to shoot their D.C. wedding next summer. Erica told me they might incorporate Cheerwine into the wedding; the cherry-flavored soda's birthplace is in Salisbury (where Patrick grew up), so we had some fun at the beginning of the shoot. : ) Enjoy this adorable pair and stay tuned later this week for a recap of 2011!
I posted the next photo especially for Erica because she got really excited when their shadows made an "M," which is the first letter of the name they'll share as husband & wife! : )
