JULIA: NEWBORN

Sometimes when I edit photos, I get emotional. Like tears-streaming-down-my-face emotional. And this is one of those times. : ) Meet Julia Lee Williamson, my new niece. She is so precious and beautiful. My brother and sis-in-love had their second child last month, and I'm so happy for their growing family! It is such a privilege to spend time with and photograph families, especially when the family is my own. I traveled to Florida to photograph Julia when she was 24 days old. And I also snuck in some snuggles with her. : ) Dylan, my nephew, is getting more used to seeing me with a camera in front of my face. All I have to say is: Aunt "paparazzi" Mel is going to be around for awhile! Enjoy Miss Julia and family.

I love Julia's 'fro in these photos!

Dylan wanted to model in the basket after Julia! Too funny.

She has SO much hair!

"Show us your teeth, Dylan!!!" : )

Little darling lips.

JOEY: BABY

This family holds a really special place in my heart. The hubs and I got to know them through a friend when we lived in Athens, and I'm SO happy & thankful she introduced us (thanks, Clare!). I was jump-out-of-my-seat excited when Allie & Ryan contacted me to take photos of little Joey man. He is SO handsome. I know that these parents appreciate their kiddo more than anything -- I'm so proud of them! It makes me tear up to think about how wonderful they are as parents! I loved photographing Joey. Eat up his cuteness, y'all. Those cheeks... those LIPS!

Such an adorable nursery!

Look at those eyelashes!

Even his crying photos are cute!

I had to get one of their pup, Charlie...

DYLAN: BABY

In late March, I became an aunt to the most precious baby boy on the planet! My brother and his wife had their first baby and now I have a nephew!!! I could probably write 1,000 words about how adorable and sweet he is, but this is a photography blog and I'll spare you the gush fest. : ) I had the chance to meet Dylan, who was just 27 days old, for the first time last weekend and of course my camera met him too. : ) Enjoy this cutie pie -- you'll be seeing lots of him in the future!
